Job Summary

The Receptionist is the primary contact for all callers and visitors, managing and reacting to issues that arise as and when. 

Callers to the office include clients, tenants, rental and sales applicants and vendors, business contacts and contractors.  The Receptionist will be required to communicate with different people on all levels and be responsible for answering incoming calls to the office.  You will be issuing and logging keys and witnessing documents.  In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring and distributing external incoming emails (in addition to your own) throughout the day.  You will also be required to put on the telephone night service and retrieve answer phone messages. 

The Receptionist will be required to be completely flexible and adaptable and be able to hop from one task to another.  Good communication is essential.  


  • To meet and greet visitors and answer all incoming calls;
  • Maintaining the tidiness of the Reception area;
  • To assist the Property Management team on a daily basis;
  • To liaise with clients, owners, tenants and service providers;
  • To work with and instruct contractors in respect of repair and maintenance items;
  • To assist with the upkeep of the master property information documents;
  • To assist with the upkeep of tenant/owner schedules and contact information;
  • To produce notices for owners/tenants regarding day to day communal area issues;
  • To assist and react to emergency tasks if needed;
  • To administer tasks such as fire alarm maintenance which includes access arrangements with owners and tenants;
  • To be responsible for the security, logging and monitoring of keys;
  • Photocopying, scanning and filing;
  • Maintaining an inventory of office furniture and other items;
  • Shredding and paper recycling;
  • Delivery of post and occasional errands;
  • Making drinks for visitors and assisting with general housekeeping duties;
  • To perform all other day to day tasks which arise including general office duties as required.

Mawson Collins is a specialist property management and residential sales and lettings firm, managed and owned by Mike and Lisa Collins. 


Office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, although during busy periods and high volumes of work, out of hours working is sometimes required.

20 days per year up to a total of 25 days per year earning one extra day per completed year of employment.
